def or dmg?
So I noticed that the def/dmg icons appear the same. So when viewing equipment, how can I tell if the benefit is dmg or def? Take the "L" in the amulet for lightening in the screenshot below:

It's equally as bad in the reputation menu where I have to expand the information on each point individually to find out which one it is.
I suggest using a differently shaped background for either. For example a circle to differentiate it from the squared other. Defense could use a shield-shaped background and offensive can keep the current shape.

Re: def or dmg?
Different shape icons for def and dmg would be good. Perfect circle would greatly reduce font size of letter though. Probably just rounded corners or something like that. Even if the difference is tiny, it's going to be useful.
About the equipment, I'll add a Def: label in front of the equipment icon/stats.
Armors always boost def while weapons always boost dmg.

I assume armor applies to body and head. If so then the rings and amulets are the only items that would need clarification. I like the rounded corner idea.

Amulets and rings are also considered as armor. They give elemental (fire, cold, lightning) defence while bodies and helms give non-elemental (melee, range, arcane) defence.
Re: def or dmg?
Okay so to make sure I have this right in summary form:
Weapons - Any letter shown represents dmg
Body, Head, Amulets, Rings - Any letter shown represents def
Weapons - Any letter shown represents dmg
Body, Head, Amulets, Rings - Any letter shown represents def
