After creating some maps I quickly figured out that the tile and sprite sheets in this game are lacking of content so luckiely I'm not that bad in drawing and design... I desidet to create some drawings for the game.
Starting with the section I started creating content for the mountain oriented tile sheets.(yes they will fit to other biomes like grass too)
-I like to hear some ideas from you what else could be done.
-Here should also be the section to get the right style guid I could add some examples of dos and don'ts
-You can link fotos of real  objects or pictures drawn by yourself don't be shy even if you are not the next picasso as long as it is understandable what you want to say, it's right!
-Also constructiv critism is welcome and recommended
how to constructiv critism: In  my opinion the border on the left sie is to big and the colour design dosen't worked well with the overall colourdesign of the game it is to dark.
how not to critism: I't looks Sh#!t !!!!
looking forward to hear your suggestions...   ..  . apsyll

Hi,

I believe what's lacking atm mountain-wise is large objects that can be put on dirt ground. Right now, there are 1 rock and 1 dead tree. I think we have enough tiny floor decorations though.

You can use semi-transparent tiles.
Tiles do not have animations.

I don't really plan on changing the HUD. I did find a bunch of new icons for the game but I haven't really got the time to replace them. The main issue is that they are 34x34 and the game needs 32x32...

I hope this is ok for you or should I seperate all Icons?
edit:
Ps: can I add statues(RNG good because of religion/Dotexe because I would do when I'm him...and some other mystic figures) I will add ruins and Bones of big animals and so... does this fit with the game style?
at the moment I think about the style like an modernish classic fantasy like final fantasy/ with mixture of a Ghibliesk world.
like fantasy but also technology in early states...

I already have the script to separate the icons. The hard part is changing all the icons used in the game. But I don't want to get into that now.

Ruins and bones are good ideas. Make them generic so they can be used anywhere.

Current style is more like Pokemon Emerald / A Link to the Past.

About the tiles, you can create statues if you want. However, like I said, I'd rather have elements that can be reused in multiple contexts. The statues can't be replaced anywhere and you can't put multiple of them at once.

One thing I'm looking to replace is the cave entrance. The new image must match with the existing mountains.

I believe a more natural/simple look would fit more so it matches more with the existing mountains.
To respect the pixel size, the entrance should be roughly 64px by 64px.

Okay. I made some other changes with it.
Added semi-transparency so it merges with the mountain better and changed the bottom.

One problem with the new bottom is that it doesn't match if the mountain is on an even tile.
