DONE - Design East Valley
Status: chuy89 is currently working on this.
We are currently looking for someone to design the area east of the town.
The theme will be a valley. This means grass with cliffs and short passages.
Refer to Overworld Guide for details about creating overworld.
Another overworld example: Southern Lake

Re: DONE - Design East Valley
Looks very good. However, there's two issues:
Firstly: The maps outside of the playable area are not visible to the player. I suggest putting those into the playable areas. There is enough space for that.
Allow me to sketch what I mean:
Secondly: This design isn't seamless with the current world. I couldn't find a way to place it conveniently in the world. I suggest a transition from town to your world as I sketched here:
There's a neat trick to create seamless maps: Copy the rightmost column of tiles of town, paste them in the map east of it and then work based on those tiles (don't forget to draw over the pasted tiles, otherwise you'll have an exact duplicate just at the border between the two maps.
Note: Do not make the border between the northern mountains and the map up-right of town seamless. Northern mountains are going to be replaced.

Looks great!
Like Ark said, it's important that the new area is able to connect with the existing town.
I'll put your "neat seamless map trick" in the overworld thread.

Nice, that also solves the problem with not fitting into the overworld. And I like your style.
